January 24th

 Kenzie eating one of her lollipops she got from the birthday party.  She was trying to get the lollipop of the stick for some reason it was really funny to watch.

January 23rd

We went to Piper's Dora birthday party today.  Cousin Piper turned 2 the day after Christmas, but with the holidays and all that her party was a little late.  The girls had a lot of fun playing a Dora adventure game that Aunt Jessica made up.  Notice Samantha (the American Girl doll) also came with us to the party.

January 22nd

My 2 silly monkeys on the counter.  I am not sure why the climbed up here but this is where I found them waiting for their breakfast one morning

January 21st

This is Kenzie with the Gingerbread house she made at School this year.  It was the last of the Christmas decorations out.  Before we got rid of it she really wanted her picture made with it.

January 20th

Madalyn got some new PJ's today.  Here she is with my old American Girl doll ready for bed.  She has been playing with this doll and taking care of her lately so that she can show us she is ready for her own American Girl doll- that is what she REALLY wants for her birthday!

January 19th

Kenzie enjoyed playing with her new Play-dough ice cream shop she got from Santa for Christmas

January 18th

Looking handsome and getting skinny!  We are trying to get back to eating more healthy and working out again- Garrison is doing a lot better than me.  He has been reading a book called the China Study which is basically a book that is very pro Vegan diet in order to be healthy we will see how long this lasts- the girls have started drinking Almond milk some instead of regular milk which they call special milk.

January 17th

Last day at home before going back from the extra week of time out of school.  Madalyn did a lot of reading while she was home.  By this day the girls were getting a little tired of each other so they each had some alone time in their rooms which I think the each really enjoyed.

January 16th

Here is a fun picture.  Garrison and I went to our friends the Payne's house for a Golden Globes Party- we were supposed to dress up as something that was nominated.  Of course being the Disney fans we are we had to go Disney our choices were Toy Story 3 or Tangled obviously we went with Tangled I was Rapunzel and Garrison was Fynn Ryder.  We had a lot of fun and I even won best costume!

January 15th

Every Saturday we have basketball games!  She seems to be having fun her team has not won any games yet, but they do not really seem to care which I think is great.

January 14th

Still enjoying the snow- they were pretty much tired of playing in the snow until we went to target and they got these new boots.  As soon as we got home they had to get bundled up and put on the new boots and go outside

January 13th

If you know Kenzie you know she is a very picky eater.  This was some ziti I made with leftover spaghetti sauce from earlier in the week (she ate that), but because this had a different shaped noodle she did not want to eat it.  We finally got her to eat a bite and she liked it and finished her plate of ziti reluctantly-she still says she did not like it.

January 12th

Still not back in school but she did have her homework packet and some extra worksheets so we decided to try and stay on top of things.

January 11th

Still enjoying the snow that we got Sunday night.  We went up to the Douglas' house this evening so the girls could do a little sledding with the boys.

January 10th

First snow day of 2011!  This was a fairly big snow for us here in Nashville.  Garrison worked from home because the roads were pretty bad so he was able to go play outside in the snow with us for a little bit.  He helped Madalyn build out little snowman friend you see.

(The girls actually ended up being home the rest of the week from this Snow)

January 9th

Just having a Lazy Sunday.....Sometimes our weekends get so busy so we especially enjoy the ones where we get to just hang out at home reading and spending time together

January 8th

Here is Madalyn playing in her first real basketball game- she is the one who takes the ball out for her team.  Her team is made up of all 2nd grade girls who go to Percy Priest and none of them have ever played Basketball before, but they are all learning together.  The games are fun to watch.

January 7th

Just having fun on a Mommy-Kenzie day.  I think it is funny that she looks like she got caught doing something wrong in this picture because she did not.  She was just sitting there coloring her new Rapunzel poster and I need to get a picture for the day and I guess I caught her by surprise.  

January 6th

Nothing too exciting happened today- I did get a new hair cut....not really new but I decided to go back to my shorter haircut and of course sweet Kenzie wanted to be in the picture with me- this is actually a good smile for her in a picture she usually make really goofy faces in pictures or is not looking at the camera.

January 5th

We have a little basketball player in the family.  Madalyn decided to play basketball this winter with several of her school friends.  They had a jamboree at Lipscomb University for all the teams to come pick up their uniforms and play a quick 15 minute game.

January 4th

This was suppose to be both the girls first day back to school after the Christmas break but instead Kenzie had to stay home with me.  When I went to wake her up for school I discovered she was sick.  We spent the day having a mommy-kenzie day and watched several movies together.

January 3rd

Madalyn has been very interested in the American Girl dolls and their stories lately so we have been getting the different books from the library.  Madalyn loves to read which is great she even has her own library card I got her this past summer.

January 2nd

This was one of Madalyn's last days at home before her Christmas break was over and she just wanted to hang out at home so that is what we did.  

(we had no idea that we would get to hang out at home an extra 7 days due to snow later in the month)

January 1st

This year we went to Hilton Head Island right after Christmas- it was a fun and relaxing way to finish up the holiday break. We came back home on New Year's Day.  We went for one last walk on the beach that morning before heading home.  On our walk we found several sand dollars and the girls did a lot of drawing in the sand.

Welcome to My project 365

I know most people probably do not really want to know what we are doing every single day of the year....but I am trying to take a picture everyday this year and hopefully at the end turn all my pictures into a digital scrapbook.  I tried to do this last year, but only made it until about the middle of June.  I am hoping that maybe by blogging it I will be able to keep myself more motivated.  For those of you who decide to follow along obviously some days will be much more exciting than others.
